21 Jump Street (2012) dir. Phil Lord and Chris Miller
Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) could not be any different. After they graduate from high school they both end up enrolling in the local police force and later becoming partners. Their underachievement lands the pair an undercover high school job in which they must infiltrate the drug dealers and find the supplier.
Verdict: This is one of the funniest films since Bridesmaids. It reminded me a lot of Role Models. I’m not the biggest fan of Jonah Hill but this is possibly the best film I have seen him in. He works really well together with Channing Tatum and I could not stop laughing. Both play against type - Channing the pretty boy come Science nerd, Jonah the chubby geek turned popular athletic star. There are also some great supporting actors including Ice Cube and the excellent Dave Franco.
This is side-splitingly funny. It’s a must see!!!
Spoiler: If you knew that 21 Jump Street is a remake of an old tv show then be prepared for a hilarious cameo role by one of the original cast members.

—Moneyball (2012) dir. Bennett Miller 133 mins
Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane’s (Brad Pitt) successful attempt to put together a baseball club on a budget by employing computer-generated analysis to draft his players.
Verdict: I watched this film on the plane back from New York but I didn’t get chance to see it all. What i saw was very good. Even if you don’t like baseball this movie is pretty good. I’m not the biggest fan of Jonah Hill but I really loved his character in this film.
